Each property located within the Town limits and receiving water and/or sewer service must have an active customer account. An application is required to establish an account as well as a meter deposit that will remain with the account until such time as the account is closed. All property owners and tenants are required to deposit $100. Deposits are either credited to the final bill or refunded if there is an overage in the account when a customer moves out. It is the responsibility of the customer to keep the District aware of current contact information such as phone numbers, email addresses and mailing addresses.
Water/sewer bills are processed on the last day of each month, based on meter readings taken on the last day of the month. The billing period covers the entire previous month. For example, if meters are read on March 31st, the bill will cover water usage from March 1st to March 31st and will be processed on March 31st.
Bill payments are due by the 15th of each month. If a payment is not received by the due date, a late notice and fee will be included with the next bill.

A $100 deposit is required to activate your account. Deposits are credited to the final bill or refunded if there is an overage in the account when a customer moves out. Deposit payment can be made with cash, check or card over phone or in our office.
3. Submit Your Information Form
Once we receive your deposit and information form, we will provide you with a Certificate of Deposit. This document will include your deposit number, account number, and the date your deposit was made.

If you are moving out of the Byers Water and Sanitation District service area and need to close your account, follow these steps:
1. Request a Final Meter Read and Final Bill
Please fill out a Final Meter Read and Account Closure Request Form and submit it to the district:
2. Pay Any Outstanding Balance
Your final bill will include any remaining charges. Your $100 deposit that was paid at the time of opening your account will be credited to your final bill or refunded if there is an overage.
3. Receive Confirmation of Account Closure
Once your final bill is processed and any balance is paid, you will receive confirmation that your account has been closed.
